Water rain drop

Once, during some rain, I went outside, hoping to capture the perfect shot of falling raindrops. After several experimental/practice shots, I hit the jackpot using a high shutter speed and flash.

The rain splashes, though beautiful, are very short lived. They last no longer than a few milliseconds, and, without luck and the right equipment, they would be lost forever, never to be marvelled at by us.

I agree. It is a very fascinating subject. But it can take a bit of time and practice to capture a good photograph. The basic advice I can give you is to use a high shutter speed and to use your flash. Also, timing is essential. In my case I used a long distance lens because I didn’t want the macro one to become wet. But if you have arrangements to protect your lens from water, I suppose using a macro lens is better. If you need further advice and tips there are several websites that are worth visiting.
If you do manage to get a good shot, do share it with me. ๐Ÿ™‚
